Awesome Tex-Mex Burger Recipe

One Of The Best Burgers I Have Ever Eaten!

1 lb. of lean ground turkey or ground sirloin
4 whole wheat jumbo hamburger buns (I Prefer Pepperidge Farms)
green leaf lettuce
1 4oz. container sour cream
1 jar Newman's Own chunky salsa (mild)
1 package of low sodium taco seasoning
2 tbsp. cilantro flakes
4 slices of mozzarella cheese

Prep (5 minutes)

Mix ground beef or turkey with cilantro flakes and taco seasoning in a bowl.

Shape mixture into 4 even patties.

In a Small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of salsa with 1/4 cup sour cream and set aside.

Cook Time (15 minutes)

Fry patties on medium heat for 7 minutes on each side. If patties are not done after that time, cook for another 2 minutes on each side.

While patties are frying, toast wheat buns lightly on 350 in the oven.

When patties are done, melt sliced cheese on each one.

Top each bottom bun with two leaves og green lettuce and patty.

Pour 2 tbsp. of the sauce mixture over the patty and top with bun.

Sides

Serve with potato wedges or waffle fries.

ENJOY!
